I am SO excited about this next review!
Awhile ago I posted about double strollers, and that I was looking at a few different options for Brayden and Brody. Well, Maclaren saw my post and sent me the 2011 Maclaren Twin Techno to keep and review!
Maclaren is my very favorite brand of stroller. After we had Brayden, we realized that the umbrella stroller that we had was just not a good quality stroller, or one that I really felt safe having Brayden in. If you know me, you know that I tend to research things to death! I found out about Maclarens while researching online and was so impressed at what I read. Thankfully, there's a boutique store near us that carries Maclarens and I was able to go and see them in person. We fell in LOVE!
So I was so excited when Maclaren asked me to review their 2011 Maclaren Twin Techno. And I'm even more excited to share all the awesome features of it with you!
Of course, Mr. Ham had to climb right in there so that he could get a picture in the stroller!

Maclaren also used the 5 point harness for ultimate safety. In the picture below I've got Brody's seat in the reclined position with his head positioner and Brayden's seat is upright.

I give this stroller a glowing review! There isn't a single thing that I don't absolutely love about it. And since you can use it from birth, it is the perfect option for us!!

Another fun feature of the techno is the foot rest that pops up and is nice for little ones before their feet can rest below. My twins rode I this stroller from about four months on, and still ride around regularly. Another key feature is that it will go through a standard doorway, something my big BOB jogger will not do. If they have improved the sun canopy coverage that would be great. That and access to the baskets below is a little rough and near impossible if someone is reclining. And the cup holders on mine are not really useful, I'd like to see those more functional. Maclarens do make a great quality stroller.
ReplyDeleteHi I am Leah and I live in Australia. I had the same single Maclaren for all my 4 kids and LOVED it! It lasted all the kids and I still have it in my cupboard ( my baby is now 7!) because I cant bear to part with it! LOVE LOVE LOVE Maclaren!
ReplyDeleteWow, that is awesome that you got to review one. I'm totally jealous. Wish I got that lucky. I'm seriously stressing over which double stroller to buy, so many choices.
ReplyDeleteI also have a Twin Techno. I do love it for T@rget trips and the mall. We did have to get an all terrain stroller/jogger for neighborhood and park walks. The TT just didn't cut it. I hope it works great for your boys.
ReplyDeletethanks for the great review! i'm planning to get one for my twins that are due in february!!
ReplyDeleteGreat to hear you love it! I have a Maclaren Volo and LOVE it! Question for you- do you know if an infant car seat can be attached to this double stroller?
ReplyDeleteSOOOO jealous! I'm trying to decide what I'm going to do for my umbrella stroller too.
ReplyDeleteThis looks amazing! My husband and I are trying to pick out a stroller for our first baby and we are having a SUPEr hard time. So many options, so many things to consider!
ReplyDeleteKK- That is a great question - I don't know if you can attach one or not. I know the seat can fully recline and there's an infant headrest for it, but I'm not sure about attaching a carseat!
ReplyDeleteNope, no carseat can be attached to the Twin Techno.
ReplyDeleteI also have been researching double strollers, and I also LOVE the features of the Twin Techno. I have a 6 year-old bilateral amputee, and there are times it just wears her out to keep up with us walking in the mall or zoo, etc. We are also in the process of adopting a 4 year-old little boy from Uganda, and I figure there will be times we will need to put both in a stroller. With the higher weight limit, this one would be perfect. I really wish it was a bit less expensive though...
ReplyDeleteI got my Maclaren Twin Techno yesterday, it is a 2007 model and so nice...I am inlove with it and both boys (2 and 6 months) loves it as well...thank you Maclaren for such a nice buggy...
